He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Lovas and Elizabeth Lovas (Ponchek); and his siblings, Elizabeth McCarthur, Lewis Lovas (Lee) and Irene Merrik.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Lovas; his children, Lori Lovas-Roberton, Randall Lovas (Kate), Thomas (Amy) and Mark Carvis (Erin); and his niece Paulette Saranzak (Dwight). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
