He was predeceased by: his brother William Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, Colleen Chamiel, Edward Simpson (Diane) and Dwight "Red" Simpson (Velma); and his grandchildren, Edward (Devon), Adam (Corrie), Hillary (Jake), Esther (Scott) and Katherine. He is also survived by two nieces; and many friends.
