He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Geri" Vasek; his children, Carla Higginson (Kevin) of Lyons, WI, Carl Gardner Jr (Debbie) of Gurnee, IL, Carol Brandt of Geneva, IL and Carrie Cramer (Ryan) of Trevor, WI; his stepchildren, Kim Edgington (Bob) of Burlington, WI, Joanna Koenig (Mel) of Minnetonka, MN and Jamie Rauth (Bob) of Kenosha, WI; and his siblings, William Gardner (Lois) of North Carolina, Linda Raper (J. W.) of North Carolina, Kay Carter (Robert) of North Carolina and Tommy Perry of Virginia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren.
