He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold "Buck" Meier and Virginia Meier (Satterfield); his brother Gary Meier; and his brothers-in-law, Glenn Ferguson and Bob Franks.
He is survived by: his children, Mindy Bollengier (late Duane) of Moline, Maribeth McNeil (Mitch) of Atkinson, Patrick Meier (Stephanie) of Peoria and Michael Meier (Tiffany) of Metamora; his grandchildren, Danielle, Abigail, Matt, Megan, Lindsey, Ashley, Andrea, Charlie, Isabella and Joseph; his great grandchildren, Sidney, Sophia, Max, Chloe, Colton, Brayden, Addison, Olivia, Dylan, Karsyn and Jayde; his siblings, David Meier (Barbara) of Michigan and Rosemary Ferguson of Annawan; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Pavel (Pat), Robert Pavel (Kristy), Connie Sand of Annawan and Sue Livesay (Steve) of Andover. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
