He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Mowell and Zelma Mowell (Lentz); his grandson Austin Mowell; and his brother Darrius Mowell. He is survived by: his wife Louise Mowell of Anna; his children, Marilyn (Stanley Elkins) of Anna, Janet (Lonnie Graham) of Anna, Darrell (Marie Mowell) of Cobden, Terry (Mary Mowell) of Dongola and Kimberly (Adam Foskey) of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, Sarah Elkins, Jason (Jessica Elkins), Ashley (Caleb Ray), Katelyn Mowell, Taylor Mowell, Madison Mowell, Grace Mowell and Noah Foskey; and his great grandchild Tucker Mowell. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the United Missionary Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
