He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Earl and Helen Capel (Dallas); his wife Janet Linzie; his granddaughter Taylor Thady; and his brother Donald Capel.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Thady (Randy), Kim Capel (Tonia) and Grant Capel (Kathy); his grandchildren, Evan Chastain (Jeff), Jeremy Capel (Stephanie), Andrea Goodman (Tim), Lauren Siegfried (Alex) and Olivia Capel; and his great grandchildren, Ellyette Chastain, Julia Kate Chastain, Elizabeth Capel, Ben Capel, Paige Goodman, Asa Goodman and Logan Siegfried. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Library at the First Baptist Church of Anna/or the Carmi Baptist Children's Home/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
