It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Rooney of Anna, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rooney and Evangeline Rooney (Willett); his wife Charlotte Rooney; and his sister Jean Willett. He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Rooney, Louella Snyder, William Joseph Rooney, Kenney Demerie and John Bailey; his grandchildren, Gary Morrison, Amanda Morrison, Katie Wright, Jordan Bailey and Mandy Morrison; his great grandchildren, Jayda Rooney, Evan Rooney, Serenity Sutton, Mason Sutton, Sutton Wright, Avery Wright, Lane Wright, Kendra Morrison, Dylan Morrison, Summer Spradling and Lane Spradling; his daughter-in-law Tara Newhart; and his sister Pat Quirk.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
