He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray and Florence Hubbs (Haire); his wife Lawanda Mae Hubbs; his son Steven Hubbs; and his siblings, Doris, George Thomas, Mae Hubbs and Betty Carter.
He is survived by: his children, LaDonna Dexter, Sheryl Shelton, Laurie Van Buren, Steve Hargrave, Melissa Meskenas and Tim Hargrave (Angie). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
