He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Dean Smoot and Viola Fitzgerald Smoot; and his siblings, Jerry Fitzgerald, Vernon Smoot, Shirley Darlene Smoot and Joyce Warden.
He is survived by: his children, Staci Alley (Ivan) of Springfield, MO, Rebekah Ellsworth (Marty) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Michael Smoot (Tami) of Poplar Bluff, MO; his grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, John Keuneke, Isaiah, Eramin Ellsworth and Caleb Smoot; his great grandchildren, Russell, Lucas Keuneke, Jaxon and Weston White-Keuneke; and his siblings, Jan Elkins of South Elgin, Pat Spond of Mt. Carmel and Lonnie Smoot of Anna. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
