It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernita Kay Smith of Anna, Illinois, born in Dongola, Illinois, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Corzine and Lennas Wandalene Corzine (Watson). She is survived by: her children, John Paul Smith Jr. of Anna and Brandi Buck of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Steven Webb, Christina Walker, Joseph, Thomas, Paul Xan Lee Smith, Jada, Jasmine, Jordan and Doug Buck; and her siblings, Galene Corzine (Brenda) of Makanda, Tina Young of Bates City, MO and Amos Allen Corzine (Patti) of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
