It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Alma Safanie of Alvin, Illinois, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin H. Safanie; her parents, Gerard "Jerry" Singleton and Crystal Singleton; and her sister Barbara Stahlman. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda J. Safanie-Crain (Robert) of Champaign, Susan L. Lowry (Michael) of Champaign, Kristin K. Safanie of Champaign and Lauren A. Safanie of San Francisco; and her grandchildren, Erin Roderick (Richard), Matthew S. McCloud and Ronald E. McCloud, Jr.. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
