He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Raymond and Inez Ellen Wignall (Reeves); and his siblings, Dean, Russell Wignall and Evelyn Wilson.

He is survived by: his former wife Ginger Sands; his wife Ellen; his children, Jeff Wignall (Sharon) of Alliance, NE, Marc Wignall (Carol) of Alliance, NE, Mike Wignall (Kodee) of Alliance, NE and Debbie Wignall of Galesburg; and his stepchildren, Cathy Carnes of Galesburg, Rodney Weedman of Monmouth, Buddy Weedman (Denise) of Oswego, Betsy Lydy of Oquawka and Missy Hilligoss of Abingdon. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
