We are sad to announce that on March 22, 2023, at the age of 73, John Edward Swanson of Altona, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward C. Swanson and Avis M. Swanson (Quanstrom); his former wife Connie Anderson; his son Dallas of Altona; his wife Becky Welch; his son Chad Swanson (Jessica) of Altona; his grandchildren, Haylee Smith (Tyler), Becca Swanson, Ryan Swanson, Paige Swanson (Dewey Holden) and Lizzy Swanson; and his great grandchild Truit John.

Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
