It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald D. Jacobson of Altona, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jacobson and Helen Jacobson (Nelson); and his mother-in-law Sharon I. Bellamy. He is survived by: his children, Donald Jacobson (Chrissy) of Elmwood, Marquie Smith of Altona and Penny Leafgreen, Jr. (Paul) of Altona; his grandchildren, Natasha Emery, Krishonna Smith, Amber Leafgreen, Andrea Leafgreen, Rachel Jacobson and Cameron Jacobson; and his great grandchildren, Rozalynn, Myles, Lyric and Karma.
Memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Care in Galesburg or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altona.
