He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ray and Dorothy Mae Burney (Campbell); his son William Burney; and his brothers, Allan Burney, Michael Burney and Martin Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Irean Randle; his children, Ray Burney Jr., Claude (Melinda Burney), Mary Ann (Flint Hileman) and Johnny Burney; and his sisters, Claudette Pilger and Lisa Scott. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Claude Burney to help with funeral expenses.
