With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Melvin Osburn (Alton, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Melvin had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Melvin may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his mother Delilah Osburn; his son Kenneth Osburn; and his cousin Dorothy Davenport. He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Crouch (Randy), Debra Dale (Winfred), Peggy Riley, Karen Osburn and Scott Osburn; and his close friend Dorothy Waters. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1422 Washington Ave, Alton, IL 62002).
