It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Barrington Green Sr. of Alton, Illinois, born in Charleston, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Major William H. and Fayma L. Green (Bence); his wife Joan Webb (Whittleman); his son-in-law Kent Morse; his brother William A. Green; his stepson Brian Webb; and his grandson Collin Morse.
He is survived by: his children, Fayma Morse (Green) of Windsor, VA and John B. "Barry" Green Jr. (DeDee) of St. Jacob, IL; his stepchildren, Kelly Herrin (Rusty) of Alton, Michael Webb (Debbie) of Bethalto and Mary Marshall of Wood River; his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Green of Bethalto, IL; his grandchildren, Katie Trusner (Ryan) of Stephens City, VA, Cole Morse (Maureen) of Suffolk, VA, Austin Green of Springfield, Amy Nacion (Rob) of Edwardsville, Andrew Herrin (Erin) of Nashville, TN, Adam Herrin (Jamie) of Tiffin, IA, John Webb (Ashley) of Bethalto, Brandon Marshall (Taylor) of Alton, Ashley Marshall of Missouri and Tony Monroe of Wood River; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Ella, Tessa Trusner of Stephen City, VA, Maria, Kendall Morse of Suffolk, VA, Atticus, Avery Marshall of Jerseyville, Caroline, Madelyn Webb of Bethalto, Beckett, Stella Herrin of Tiffin, IA, Lucas, Benjamin Nacion of Edwardsville, Ayden, Addyson and Trenton Marshall of Missouri; his nieces, Kelly MacDowell (Steve) and Kristen McDowell (Rob); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Keegan, Broc, Schyler and Josie.
