He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Eugene and Alfretta Lucille Tungett (Camp); his son Holger Happel (Chris Lamere-Happel); his wives, Mary and Silvia Happel; and his siblings, Eleanor Well, Leroy and Jack Tungett.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Selvog (Mark) and Tim Tungett (Lisa); his grandchildren, Alexandria Happel of Texas, Mary Werts (Will) of Iowa, Devin Bettorf (Allison) of Missouri, Thomas Tungett of Iowa and Austin Selvog (Carly Keshner) of Brighton; and his great grandchildren, Aubreigh Elisabeth, William Behr and Adelaide Rosemarie Werts.
