He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. Jones and Alvie Jones (Gordon); and his siblings, Karen (Henry Cathorall), Patricia Jones, Gordon Jones and Gary Jo Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his daughter Kristi Hofferber (Mark) of Holiday Shores; and his sister-in-law Verna Jones of Olathe, KS..

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School.
