He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman John and Ila Fern Kopp (Worthy); his children, Cindy Davis and Marty Kopp; and his siblings, Glendora Hines (Dodie), Virginia M. Flagg, Betty L. Morgan, Norman Kopp, Charles Kopp and William Kopp.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Bowen); his children, Marilyn Duckett of Granite City and Richard Adkins of Alton; his grandchildren, Chastity Niemeyer (Martin Kopp, Jr.), Robert Kopp (Steven Rhyne), Robin Duckett (Roger Duckett) and Anthony Waggoner (Tiffany Ernzen); and his sister Charlotte Colbert of California. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Upper Alton Cemetery (2090 Oakwood Ave, Alton, IL 62002).
