He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cay Allen and Ruby Betts, Sr. (Hatcher); his daughter Kiela Boelkens; and his brother Michael Betts. He is survived by: his sons, James Betts III (Danielle) of Godfrey and Ian Garner (Elizabeth) of Alton; his grandchildren, Charles Skelton, III, Gage Skelton, Devon Boelkens, Dylan Boelkens, James Betts IV, Breyden Betts, Lexi Adams, Blaine Adams, Jaida Garner, Eastin Garner and Westin Garner; and his siblings, Terry Betts (Kim) of Batchtown, IL, Kenny Myers of Godfrey and Tammy Betts of Kampsville, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
