He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hippen and Margaret Hippen (Harsey); and his brother Steve Hippen. He is survived by: his wife Carlene M. Mayes; his son Lester "Buddy" Hippen (Alexis Bell) of Alton; his grandchildren, Layla Hippen and Windlyn Hippen; and his father-in-law John Wayne Mayes.
Therefore, it was Jack's wish that memorial donations be directed to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, 57 Country Place, Springfield, IL 62703.
