He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer L. Sr. Harder and Alice Harder (Wise). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Harder (Miller); his sons, Dan Harder (Julie), Scott Harder (Ann) and Andy Harder (Rachel); his grandchildren, Jessica Harder (Shawn Davis), Adam Harder (Cait) and Alex Harder (Danyel); and his sisters, Joy Bramley (Gene), Cathy Harting and Linda Basden (Richard).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Knight Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Washington University in St. Louis and will be accepted at the services.
