We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2023, at the age of 85, Fred K. Sparks Sr. of Alton, Illinois, born in Edwardsville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sampson Sparks and Anna Sparks (Glassmeyer); his wife Genevieve (Dale); his siblings, Julia Dailey, Joyce Ziegler, Charles "Chuck" Sparks, Jim Sparks, Leroy Sparks, Bill Sparks and Sam Sparks; and his stepchildren, Arland Sparks and Barbara Cook Harlow (Sparks).

He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Mosley (McGowan); his children, Debbie (Sparks), Matt Gwyn, Fred, Cynde Sparks, Samson, Vicky Sparks, Tracy, Laura Sparks, Loretta (Sparks), Mark Coudriet, Penny (Sparks) and Dennis Krause; his stepdaughters, Beverly, Willie Townzen, Lindell and Norma Ray; and his daughter-in-law Carol Sparks. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Evergreen Place Entertainment Department.
