He is survived by: his children, Douglas Worth Sawyer, II (Joy) of Alton, Kelly Sawyer (Corey Hutson) of Hartford and Michelle Rounds (Marcus) of Alton; his grandchildren, Grace Sawyer (Devin Schmitz), Anna Sawyer, Errin, Erryal DeBruce, Jordan Sawyer, Aaliyah Guy (Pierre) and Marcus Rounds, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Ramya, Rayla, Renni, Maelyn, Isabelle, Baylee, Elijah and Analeia; his brother Sam Harris of Texas; and his nieces, Debbie Steiner (Robert) of Tennessee and Suzy Staples (Michael) of North Carolina.
