We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2022, at the age of 92, Doris L. Johnessee of Alton, Illinois, born in East Alton, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Fisher and Kathryn Fisher (Held); her son Wayne Johnessee; her grandsons, Ryan Spears and Brian Cox; her sister June Fisher; and her siblings-in-law, Norma Fisher, Juanita Johnessee, Betty Lewis, Pansy and Sonny Butler.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Heil (Randy) of Alton, Kathy Travis (Brad) of Rosewood Heights, Pam Cox (Kenny) of Gerald, MO, Kevin Johnessee (Marla) of Edwardsville and Judy Mitchell (Chad) of St. Peters; her grandchildren, Josh Heil (Lori), Jamie Heil, Chris Spears, Tanner Travis (Jessica), Tess Klunk (Chad), Jill Correa (Alex), Sarah Cox-Noel (Shawn), Kendra Williamson (Chandler), Austin Johnessee and Leah Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Destiny Spears, Ann, Liz, Gabby Heil, Aaiden Cox, Aurora Noel, Kayla, Emma Correa, Parker, Dean Travis, Jay and Ty Klunk; her siblings, Wayne Fisher of Jerseyville and Ginny Murphy of Alton; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Johnessee of Bunker Hill and Bill Johnessee (Connie) of Barry, IL..
The family would like to thank Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy and BJC Hospice for the special care they provided, and memorials may be given to BJC Hospice.
