He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Capps and Carlene Capps (Clendenny); his sister Sharon Ewen; and his siblings-in-law, Hannah Burchett (Jack), Irma Hannel (Billy) and Donald Doerr.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Louella Dirksmeyer; his children, Matthew Capps (Mary) of Jerseyville, Michelle Webster (Tony) of Hardin and Jerrod Capps (Laury) of Jerseyville; his grandchildren, Cory Rowling (Samantha) of Jerseyville, Chase Webster of Hardin, Ethan Capps of Jerseyville, Ella Webster of Hardin and Finlee Heckrodt of Jerseyville; his sisters, Susan Klunk (Jim) and Marilyn Johnson (John); and his siblings-in-law, James Ewen and Mardell Doerr. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
