He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Ross and Julia Crouse Ross; his wife Nancy Masterson; his sister Juanita; his siblings-in-law, Robert F. Day and Linda Broughton Ross; his niece Janice Day Scott; and also, Herman and Stella Masterson.
He is survived by: his brother Kenneth of Owensboro, KY; his children, Charles M. Jr. of Alton, IL, Rochelle R. Hance (Brent) of Wildwood, MO and Derek D. of Dorsey, IL; his grandchildren, Spencer Ross, Zachary Ross (Emily), Lauren Hance (Matthew Busse), Abigail Ross and Harrison Ross; and his nieces and nephews, Dawn Day Freeman (David), Pamela Ross Foster (Rick), Robert R. Day (Joanna), Karen Ross Danhaur (David), Suzanne Ross Bolton (Rob) and Jon Scott.
