He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Bourland and Laura Bourland (Ambrose); and his brothers, Wilburn Bourland and Everett Bourland. He is survived by: his wife L. Estelle Bourland (Shinn); his children, Cecilia (Ian Wigley), Robert Bourland of California, Barbara Hammond of Jerseyville, Debra (Rusty Akers), Shelby Hammond of Jerseyville and Toby Hammond of Winchester; his granddaughter Heather Molesworth of California; his sister Jean; and his brother-in-law Louie Reed of Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Bethel Baptist Church.
