She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse Knighton, Jr.; her daughter Nicole Knighton; her grandson Tyler Slack; and her siblings, Ruth Ann Ramsey, Dorothy Moore (Ramsey) and Kenneth Ramsey.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Hardimon (Daryl), Tiffany Adams (David) and Jesse Knighton, III; her siblings, Michael Ramsey (Sandra), Timothy Edwards, Patricia Martin and Kathleen Ramsey; and her sister-in-law Nettie Ramsey. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
