She was acknowledged for her many contributions to various clubs and organizations which included: Chairman of Sig-Tri-Hi Organization, Illinois American Association of Colored Women (IACW), Chairman of the Flamingo Club of the YWCA, general Chairman of Coronation of Petere, The Red Hat Society, and she hosted many high tea and book club events in her lavish home.
