In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Sparrowk and Lillian Sparrowk (Nance); her spouse Glenn Myers; her daughter-in-law Donna Thornton; and her brothers, Tom, Steve and Joe Sparrowk.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Thornton of Bethalto, Roger Thornton (Susie Thomas) of Cottage Hills and Melody Sinks (Michael) of Cottage Hills. She is also survived by six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of East Alton.
