He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur J. Lippoldt and Anna L. Lippoldt; his stepdaughter Melony Patton Biver; his mother-in-law Mary Malone; and his sister-in-law Connie Pollard.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Malone; his children, Kathy Ball (Detlef) of Edwardsville, Becky Steinmann (David) of Hamel, Aaron Lippoldt (Michelle) of Worden and Matt Lippoldt (Jennifer Tolle) of Worden; his son-in-law Keith Biver of Worden; his sister Iris Uzzell (John) of East Alton; his grandchildren, Logan, Molly Ball, Samantha, Lizzy Steinmann, Nicholas, Wyatt, Sadie Lippoldt, Chelsey, Kayla Lippoldt and Allison Biver; his great grandchild Noah; and his friend Jim Shanks.
