With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Ray Elkins (Alton, Illinois), born in McClure, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ray Elkins; his siblings, Bob Elkins, Rosene, Marie and Bonnie; and his nephew Terry Elkins.
He is survived by: his mother Beulah Elkins (Lindsey); his aunt Dorothy; his uncle Henry "Chick" Leady; his wife Rosalie Tate; his children, Kimberly Winkler (Steve) of Godfrey and Bryan Elkins (Ron Hamakawa) of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren, Matthew Winkler of Godfrey and Natalie Winkler of Godfrey; his great grandchildren, McKenna, Calvin and Elias Winkler; his brothers, Joe Jenner (Ina) of Pocahantas, IL and Loy Elkins of Mississippi; his siblings-in-law, Walter Tate (Linda) and Ann Childers; and his cousin Carol Carpunky (Jerry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Alton.
