It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernita Miller of Alto Pass, Illinois, born in Wolf Lake, Illinois, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pitts and Freda Pitts (Wilson); her husband Wendall Miller; and her brother-in-law Ivan Rhodes. She is survived by: her stepson Wade Miller (Patty) of Chester; her stepgrandchildren, Cassidy Miller (Jacob Wilkins) of St. Louis and Courtney Evans (Eric) of Steelville; her stepgreat-granddaughter Grace Evans; her siblings, Fred Pitts (Barbara) of Lick Creek, Wayne Pitts (Judy) of Wolf Lake and Carleen Cain of Tuscola; and her nieces and nephews, Gena Davis (Wendell), Sandra Kay Clutts, Ron Pitts (Bruce Pitts), Kent Pitts (Nancy), Wes Pitts (Melanie) and Teresa Guy (Tony). She is also survived by other relatives, and many friends.
