With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Earl Byars of Altamont, Illinois, born in Fayette, Alabama, who passed away on September 18, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Furman Hill and Ella Mae Byars (Pinkerton); his wife Nancy Ann Voelker; his daughter Lynne Brody (Stephan) of Dallas, TX; his grandson Travis Aaron Brody of Dallas, TX; his brother Joe Hill Byars (Mary) of LaMirada, CA; his half-brother Harry Maxwell of Montgomery, AL; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald and Elsie Voelker of Mason. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Altamont or Gideons International.
