She was predeceased by: her siblings, Wayne Higgs, Gilbert Higgs, Lyle Higgs, Eddie Higgs, Luella Goldsboro and Irene Tucker; her granddaughter Amanda Whitten; and her great grandchild Breanna Johnson.
She is survived by: her former husband Arthur Turner; her husband Lawrence Boaz; her children, Bill Turner, Patrick 'Dewey' Turner, Twila Johnson Lee (Jerry), Vickie Whitten and Kathy Whitten; her sister Rose Williams; her siblings-in-law, Mary Higgs and Charles Goldsboro; her stepdaughters, Melinda Ritchey and Diane Walker; and her grandchildren, Monica Fopay (Jon), Crystal Johnson, Dorsey Johnson, Jr., Tiffany Johnson, Valerie Lawhorn (Aaron), Melissa Whitten, Michael Whitten (Stephanie), Jessica Jorgensen (Micah), Cory Whitten, Hillary Rudolphi (Michael) and Priscilla Elliot. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
