Reiss of Altamont, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Dirks and Dorathea Dirks (Fromme); her husband James Reiss; her siblings, Robert Dirks and Ann Began (Tom); her grandson Steven; and her siblings-in-law, Anna Mae McCain, Phyllis Coleman, Dorothy Augustine and Robert Reiss.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane Polivka (Mark) of Ellicott City, MD; her granddaughters, Jenna Muller (Ryan) of Brentwood, TN and Holly Polivka (Paul Chaplin) of Richmond, VA; her great grandchildren, Ava Muller and John Muller; and her siblings-in-law, Ramona Dirks of Effingham and Charles 'Brick Reiss of Altamont.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Care Center, St. Clare Catholic Church, or the donor's choice.
