He was predeceased by: his siblings, Clarence, Jr. and Alice Lowrance; and his grandson Eric McCloy. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Verdeyen; his children, Glenda Ploeger (Robert) of Buncombe County, NC, Marilyn Sutterfield (David) of Effingham, Dale McCloy (Teresa) of Mason and Amy Hickox (Brian) of Evergreen, CO.; his grandchildren, Jason Gum, Daren Gum, Kevin Schneider, Keith Sutterfield, Anneke McCloy and Taylor Hickox; and his great grandchildren, Trent Gum, Conall, Cormac and Camden Schneider.
CDC and IDPH guidelines with regard to COVID-19 must be followed. This includes, but is not limited to, face covering and social distancing.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, FISH, or the donor's choice.
