He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Budde; his sons, Darwin Hammer of Altamont, Chris Hammer (Cheri) of Altamont, Mike Hammer (Brenda) of Altamont, Kelly Hammer of Effingham and Kirk Hammer (Sondra) of Altamont; his sisters, Irma Mellendorf of Dieterich and Verda Mellendorf of Louisville; his grandchildren, Gretchen Hammer (Cody), Chrisha Alwardt (Derrick), Jacob, Jared Hammer, Kaile Wolff (Ethan), Devin Hammer (Clare), Darcie Buening (Brennan) and Mackenzie Goeckner (Dunavun); and his great grandchildren, Adison, Conner Alwardt, Paisley, Talon Ranes, Grayson, Kynlie Buening and Baby Wolff.
