He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Verdeyen and Agnes Verdeyen (Wolfert); his wife Dorothy E. Willenborg; his daughters, Patricia Jean Verdeyen and Theresa Mae Verdeyen; his brothers, Robert and LaVerne Verdeyen; his son-in-law Robert Stewart; his parents-in-law, Louis and Emma Willenborg; and his siblings-in-law, Vera, Margaret Verdeyen, Nellie Donsbach, Pauline Holding, Virgil, Ruben Willenborg, Ben Donsbach, Oscar Holding and Earl Bushue.
He is survived by: his children, John Verdeyen (Dorothy) of Altamont, Mike Verdeyen (Emma) of Neoga, Barb Stewart of Brownstown, Jane Meier (Roger) of Centralia and Deb Wright of Altamont; his sister-in-law Martha Bushue of Mason; his grandchildren, Todd Verdeyen, Meredith Stewart, Travis Stewart, Tonya Flach, Tanner Meier, Jennifer Arnold, Dustin Meier, Jessica Arnold, Tai Kasban, Megan Althoff, Vanessa Wright and Molly Stuckemeyer; and his great grandchildren, Quinn, Evan, Pierce, Clayton, Logan, Olivia, Devin, Ava, Loren, Anneke, Norah, MaKenna, Hayden, Brody, Kaylee, Chase, Wade and Sutton.
Memorials may be made to the Altamont Volunteer Fire Department, St. Clare Church, or the donor's choice.
