She was predeceased by: her daughter Wilma; her husband Melvin Hooks; and her siblings, Henry Dowds, Alice Durbin, Wayne Dowds and Annabelle Shelton.
She is survived by: her son David Hooks (Gayle) of Mason; her grandson Adam Hooks; her great grandchild Lucy Buckley-Hooks of Iowa City, Iowa; her granddaughter Johanna Hooks (Cheese); and her sister-in-law Eugenia Hooks of Mason. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
