He was predeceased by: his sibling Beto; and his parents, Roberto Ponce and Eva Gutierrez. He is survived by: his children, Irvin Ponce, Luis Ponce (Chiquito), Gabriela Mondragon (Chaparra), Eva Ponce (Piri) and Josue Ponce; his grandchildren, Alessi, Mia, Emileano and Elijah Levi; and his siblings, Alejandro, Martha, Celia, Soila and Sonia.
