It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrel Gene Alvis (Allenville, Illinois), born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on March 4, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Alvis and Audrey Alvis (Littrell); and his wife Carla McFarland. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Alvis of Mattoon and Lee Hunter (Nathan) of Allenville; his granddaughters, Brianna Storm (Zach) and Natalee Hunter; his great grandchildren, Lenox, Kye and Jamesen Storm; and his siblings, Sally Wallace (Bill) of Allenville and Don Alvis (Johnadine) of Mattoon.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
