She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Montavon and Helen Mosimann; her sons, Patrick McPherron of France, Greg McPherron (Martha) of Torrance and Anthony Urrello of Vancouver, B. C.; and her sisters, Joan Macklin of Crystal Lake and Carol Holmes of Rockford. She was also cherished by three nephews and one niece.

Memorials may be directed to ALS Society or Journey Care Hospice.

“Hearing of Norma's death brought a deep sadness. She was part of our JLL Bible study & an inspiration! She had such a gentle spirit, yet such a strong, persevering character. With the smallest acts of kindness to her, she had the deepest appreciation. She did not have a self-pity attitude, but rather an acceptance of her life & a sincere interest in the lives of others. She was so faith-filled no matter what & always with her beautiful smile & peaceful nature. Prayers for you all!”
