She was predeceased by: her father Juan Benitez; and her son Steven Cruz. She is survived by: her mother Bertha Benitez; her husband Guadalupe Cruz; her sons, Louis Cruz (Carla Chavez) and Danny Cruz (Alexia Casarubias); her grandchildren, Prince, David, Steven and Louis; her niece Lucille; and also, Alfredo Cruz (Austria) and Maria Cruz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
