She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Eugene R. Eckert; her children, Sharon K. Eck (Daniel), Nancy L. Eckert and Gail A. Malaret; her grandchildren, Daniel G. Eck, Sara M. Dirks (Ben), Joseph F. Stejskal IV and Michael Steven Malaret Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Bryson B. Dirks and Piper M. Dirks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
