He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene and Sarah Gribbon; and his siblings, Kathleen Hansen (Roy), Eugene Gribbon, Alice O'Connor-Finnegan and Betty Maager (Marwin).

He is survived by: his wife Karen Gribbon (Jarchow); his children, Janis Hope (Brian) and Sean Gribbon (Amie); his grandchildren, Lauren, Liam and Nathan; and his sister-in-law Nancy Gribbon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
