He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Hamilton; and his siblings, Robert Flink and June Burbatt. He is survived by: his wife Eileen M.; his sons, Michael, John (Tania) and Robert Flink (Scarlett); his son-in-law Mark Hamilton; his granddaughters, Caitlin Flink, Kiely Burkhart (Austin) and Hailey Czlapinski; his great grandchildren, Nicolette, Dakota and Ezekiel Burkhart; and his sister Doris Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
