He is survived by: his brother Ted; his daughter-in-law Julie; his children, Edward, Kevin (Sandra), Shawn, Patti Dillon (David) and Sharon Pendergast (Jim); his grandchildren, Gilbert Robert Sommer IV, Meghan, Malerie, Alyssa, Sheila, Michael, Matthew, Kayleen (Sam), Sara, Autumn, Jacob and Emma; and his great grandchildren, Gilbert Robert Sommer V, Evelyn, Jace, Lilly and Ava. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
